Webinar on preventing illegal use of cryptocurrency: Blockchain forensics, due diligence & regulation

Anirudh Rastogi, Managing Partner at Ikigai Law was in conversation with Mriganka Pattnaik, CEO at Merkle Science on a webinar on 11 May 2020. Merkle, a Singapore-based company, is a pioneer in blockchain forensics and due diligence tools used by law enforcement agencies, regulators, crypto-exchanges, banks and funds to monitor and mitigate AML/CFT risk. The entire conversation is available here.

In this conversation, he dives into regulatory trends and how different regulators are engaging with the industry; timelines within which he expects regulators to begin implementing licensing frameworks; and how certain banks are averse to servicing the crypto-industry while others, mostly crypto-focussed challenger banks are able to leverage their understanding of the industry and tech to tap into this emerging sector.
